TIPS TO HELP PARENTS OF PIANO STUDENTS
- Help student read notes by writing in some of the letters.
- Take time to listen to and encourage your child. (even if it doesn't sound too great yet)
- Keep practice times short, but regular, daily if possible.
- Have student keep a notebook for assignments. You may need to help younger children with this.
- Look for songs children are familiar with in addition to regular lessons.
- Give stickers or other rewards for completed songs.
- Buy a metronome and help your child play music in the correct time.
